This topic describes basic tasks in Hide Folders.
Add a file or a folder to the list
There are several ways to add a file or folder to the list:
1. Click the Add button on the Hide Folders toolbar.
A dialog box for selecting files and folders appears. Select the required file system object, then click OK.
2. Drag the desired files or folders from File Explorer and drop them into the Hide Folders window.
Remove a file or a folder from the list
1. Select the required file object in the list.
2. Click the Remove button.

2. Click the Properties button, then select the protection method in the Properties window.
Click the Enable button.
Click the Disable button.
1. Click Password button.
Change password window appears.
2. Input your current password, new password and confirm your new password, then click OK.

The Change password window appears.
2. Enter your current password, leave the new password and confirmation fields blank, then click OK.
Make backup utility to access protected folders
Suppose the executable file for your backup utility is backup.exe.
To grant this backup utility access to your protected files:
1. Select Settings > Trusted processes.
2. In the Trusted Processes window, click the Add button.
3. Enter backup.exe in the Process name field, then click OK.
